International Workers Memorial Day – Strong Laws, Strong Enforcement, Strong Unions – Thursday 28 April
You are invited to attend the annual Workers Memorial Day ceremony in Bristol at 9:00am Thursday 28 April 2016 at the Memorial Tree in the Car Park at the back of City Hall.
The event consists of a short speech in memory of people worldwide who have died or have suffered long term disability as a result of work. After which we will be tying ribbons to the tree. This will be followed by refreshments in the Central Library Café.
We look forward to seeing you
Paula Sharley – on behalf of the Trade Union Safety Team
Branch H&S Officer
The day is also intended to serve as a rallying cry to “remember the dead, but fight for the living”.
